You Should Have Left – Thriller
Category – Movie

Content – Theo is a man with a past, but has found a new life with his young wife and actress Susanna and their daughter Ella. She has a new movie she is going to be filming in Wales, so the couple decide to go early and rent this modern house in the countryside for a relaxing vacation. Upon arrival, this beast of a house seems inviting and tranquil. But the house is far from tranquil and all three occupants begin to have scary and threatening nightmares on their first night there. A dirty secret is revealed and Susanna is forced to leave for the night. And within this night, Theo and the house struggle for the truth. He fights to protect his daughter, the only real and innocent thing he has in his life. Will he ever be able to leave the house? Will it ever go away? This psychological thriller will keep you guessing until the very end, with it’s twists and many turns. This scores a 8 out of 10.

Acting – Kevin Bacon does a fantastic job playing this man dealing with his past and present. This movie is very psychological and that isn’t often easy to portray in a film. He does a great job keeping the balance. Susanna is played by Amanda Seyfried, and the lille girl Ella is played by Avery Tiiu Essex. This little girl is a new comer to film, having only been in a tv show prior to this. But she does a remarkable job in all the scenes. While the movie surrounds Theo and his struggles, all three actors do an outstanding job. Score is 8.5 out of 10.

Duration – 93 minutes is what you get. And in movies that are heavy with the psychological twists, this is a perfect time. Anything longer and the story could just get overly confusing. This gets a 9 out of 10.
