VFW – Thriller
Category – Movie

Content – VFW – Veterans of Foreign Wars, This tells me right away there will be an element of “older” gentlemen involved in this film. I like that, so I’m intrigued. The world has gone rogue, and a new drug called “Hype” makes people almost zombie like. Next door to this drug lords warehouse is a VFW Hall. While several men enjoy their beer and fun on one’s birthday, next door a very pissed off girl decides to steal the last of the drug lords stash and make a run for it. So she runs right into the VFW hall and chaos begins. Armed with a couple guns, a hockey stick, a baseball bat and one young military man, this group holds off and kills as many of these Zombie like freaks that want the drugs back. Many good fights ensue, and it all comes down to the older birthday boy and the drug lord, and who will win? While I cannot call this movie horror, it does have lots of gushing blood on the many kills. It can be construed as gruesome and gory, while fun at the same time. You definitely route for the older men on this one!!! For what it was, I thought the movie was entertaining. This scores a 7 out of 10.

Acting – The VFW – Stephen Lang, Fred Williamson, Martin Kove, David Patrick Kelley, Tom Williamson and even George Wendt. These guys are mostly older and made the film fun to watch. They play up their age a lot and it becomes very entertaining as you route for these guys to win. You cannot say anything bad about these veteran actors. For a low budget film, they did great! Score is 8 out of 10.

Duration – 1 hr 32 min. For a hard hitting, gruesome kill type film, this time is good. Any longer and you would get bored of seeing the same thing. But it was successful. This gets a 7 out of 10.

TOTAL INDEX for VFW – 22 out of 30.

Recommended Watch – If you like the fun action-packed gruesome kill movie, then this is for you!
