The Crown Season 3 – Drama
Category – TV Series
Content – Season 3 of The Crown follows Queen Elizabeth II from 1964-1977. It begins with mourning the passing of Winston Churchill, it reveals the truth about Sir Anthony Blunt as a Soviet Spy and reveals the love affair of Princess Margaret with a very younger gardner. The Crown is just cinematic beauty. It is like a modern day soap opera based in the 60’s and 70’s. The story is intriguing and engrossing. It is simple to see why the Critics Choice and Golden Globes have both nominated this series for Best Drama. This scores a 8 out of 10.
Acting – The QUEEN Olivia Colman cannot do anything wrong. Her acting is yet another flawless role, performed with dignity and poise. Then you add Tobias Menzies, which in my opinion is one of the most under-rated actors of our day. Give this guy a chance, he will floor you. And Helena Bonham Carter, who turns everything she touches into magic. Flawless cast. Again, Olivia has been nominated for best actress in a drama and Tobias has been nominated for best actor in a drama for both the Critics Choice and Golden Globe.Another – 9 out of 10.
Duration – 10 episodes. I think this is perfect for a series, not too long and not too short. And with Season 4 hot on its heels, I shall wait with anticipation! This gets a 9 out of 10.
TOTAL INDEX for The Crown – 26 out of 30.
