Save Yourselves! – Comedy
Category – Movie
Content – When S
u and Jack decide they need a break, they leave Brooklyn for an upstate cabin in the woods. They agree to completely turn off their cell phones and have no contact with the outside world. An attempt to completely reconnect with each other. Unfortunately, as they connect with each other, the world falls under attack. Alien “poofs” land all over the planet and are taking over. Sensing something is really wrong (as they see a poof in the cabin), they turn on the cell phones and learn the unimaginable has happened. Armed with this information, they try and leave the cabin to go back to Brooklyn, but alas, they do not get far. While this movie had plenty of comedic scenes (some of which were actually really funny and cute), the movie fell apart at the end. Clearly the writers had NO clue how to end such a poof film. Such a shame, as the movie had potential. This scores a 5 out of 10.
Acting – The acting was actually decent, both Sunita Mani and John Reynolds did a good job. Their comedic timing was good for the material they had and I would definitely watch either of them again. They need a comedy that can portray their talents in a better written film though. Score is 6 out of 10.
Duration – 93 mins. Too bad…We could have stretched this one to have some sort of decent end. And the two actors were funny, they could have had more screen time. This movie just needed something more. This gets a 5 out of 10.

Recommended Watch – This isn’t even worth a Friday night beer watch. Maybe if you could down a 6-pack, but the end really leaves you blank. Not too worthy of a watch.
