Jack & Yaya – Documentary
Category – Movie
Content – Jack and Yaya grew up next door to each other, so they have known each other their whole lives. However, Jack was born a female (Jaqueline) and Yaya was born a male (Chris). Both knew they were transgender, as they would play house as the other sex. They found each other, within each other. Now, so many years later, Jack and Yaya are still friends, and deal with the same daily struggles. And Jack’s grandma’s name is Dee Dee, so I’m going to be a little partial with this one. This documentary is just a beautiful film that follows two beautiful souls, living their lives the only way they feel they can. This scores a 8 out of 10.
Acting – Since this is a documentary, there really is no acting. Jack and Yaya talk openly about their lives, and so does their family. Their struggles are real and are dealt with in real life. Score is 8 out of 10.
Duration – 84 mins. A great length for a documentary. Not too long and not too short. This gets a 8 out of 10.
