Driven – Thriller, Comedy
Category – Movie

Content – Stand-Up comedienne Emerson practices her comedy in between fares – She is an Uber type driver. A mysterious man jumps in her car with multiple stops. At the end of each stop, the man grows increasingly anxious and this makes Emerson very nervous. As she tells the man to get out of her car, he brandishes a knife and demands that she continues to drive. Scared and confused, Emerson gets pulled over by the police and outs the man – Yelling that he is dangerous! With his gun drawn, the police demands that the man get out of the car…But the cop is mauled by a woman before anything else can happen. As Emerson drives off, the man (Roger) says that the woman was a Demon and they can defeat this together. Now our car driver has become a Demon hunter! And so the adventure for the night begins! Since they are stuck in a car together, there is a lot of talk talk talk (maybe too much?). It takes a minute to get to the action, but it’s all good fun. The real question is – Can they survive each other long enough to defeat the demons? This scores a 6.5 out of 10.

Acting – Roger is played by Richard Speight Jr and Emerson is played by Casey Dillard. These two act like an old married couple, the chemistry is fun to watch as they bicker about the events of the night. Especially when they discuss “the turd spoon” – it is very funny and well played. Score is 7 out of 10.

Duration – 90 mins. An excellent time for a comedic, demon hunting thriller. This gets a 8.5 out of 10.
