Clover – Crimedy
Category – Movie

Content – When Mickey and Jackie get in trouble with money on their family inherited pub, they have no clue what a simple meeting with the mob boss will entitle. To clear their debt, they simple must assist the mob boss’s son on a job to collect money. The job goes wrong, the man is killed, the daughter witnesses the murder and shoots the mob boss’s son Joey. Mickey and Jackie immediately know they must run or be killed, and they take the daughter, Clover, with them. There are many twists and turns along the way, and the ending is one you don’t see coming. While this is a crime comedy, there is foul language (its a mob movie, what do you expect), but the banter between Mickey and Jackie is fabulous to watch, so the language just is what it is. At one point the mob can see the two brothers fighting themselves and wonders if they will even have to kill them at all, as it seems they will kill each other. This is a fun mob movie with lots of comedy with plenty of shoot em up scenes. This scores a 8 out of 10.

Acting – Jon Abrahams and Mark Webber do an excellent job of arguing brothers on the run. The banter between these two actors is great fun and makes the movie really fun to watch. And Nicole Elizabeth Berger, who plays Clover, is a great newcomer and handles her acting very well. Her reactions to these brothers is classic! The mob boss is played by Chazz Palminteri, a veteran actor who plays a mob boss perfectly. There are even cameo appearances by Ron Perlman, Tichina Arnold and Jessica Szohr. All in all, this is a great cast that does this film good justice. Score is 8 out of 10.

Duration – 1 hr 41 min. The comedic timing in the film makes it flow very well. There is never a dull moment and the time goes by very well. Very good timing!!! This gets a 8 out of 10.

TOTAL INDEX for Clover – 24 out of 30.

Recommended Watch – Absolutely! If you can get through the foul language (again, its a mob film), it is a very enjoyable and fun film!!!
